 | Monday, August 6th, 2007: Spring Lake's Battle SL1 Star of the Week
Howard Battle kept his eye on the ball last week and now all eyes are on him. The Spring Lake Centaurs third baseman easily swung his way to the Sub League 1 Player of the Week Award with 10 hits in 25 at-bats.
Battle hit .400 last week with 1 home run, 5 RBIs and 7 runs scored.
This year Battle is batting .300 with 2 home runs and 22 RBIs. |
| Wednesday, August 1st, 2007: SL1 Honors Battle, #1 Batter in July
Howard Battle of the Spring Lake Centaurs certainly made a resounding impression on the Sub League 1 pitching corps in July and today reaped the reward as the league's best batter for the period.
The third baseman put up some good offensive figures as he hit .352 with no home runs, 10 RBIs and 18 runs scored.
So far this season Battle has gotten 42 hits in 140 at-bats for a .300 batting average with 1 home run. His stats include 18 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has played in 38 games. |
