| Breaking News | | Monday, August 13th, 2007: Star of the Week Honored in SL2
It was some kind of week for Donny Lucy of the Spokane Rovers. First he hits the heck out of the ball, ripping it at a .875 clip and the next thing you know, he is voted the Player of the Week in the Sub League 2. Last week Lucy went 7-8, chalked up no home runs and 1 RBIs and scored 4 runs. Not a bad week's work at all!
In 2007, Lucy is hitting .346 with 0 home runs and 10 RBIs in 43 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .386 with 4 walks and 7 runs scored. |
 | Wednesday, June 27th, 2007: Kelton Goes 5-5
It seemed that Fort Polk North left fielder David Kelton could do no wrong as the Glory kayoed the Rovers 15-2 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Spokane pitchers couldn't get him out as Kelton seemed to know which pitches they were throwing.
"I think the Glory were stealing signs." growled one unhappy Spokane fan.
"I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play." exclaimed the jubilant Kelton in the postgame press interview.
D. Kelton hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 9th.
Kelton has collected 5 hits for the Glory this year, 1 of them home runs. He has also netted 3 RBIs and scored 5 runs while batting .500. |
