| Breaking News |  | Wednesday, August 1st, 2007: Torrid July Gets Chen SL2 #1 Batter Trophy
The Sub League 2 Batter of the Month has been chosen for July and the trophy was presented to Chin-Feng Chen of the Fort Polk North Glory.
He stood out this month with a .424 batting average, 42 hits and 3 home runs, along with 24 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
For 2007 Chen is batting .366 with 3 home runs, 33 RBIs and 31 runs scored. |
| Monday, July 23rd, 2007: Super Swinger Snags SL2 Player of the Week
The #1 hitter in the Sub League 2 was Fort Polk North left fielder Chin-Feng Chen. He was selected the Player of the Week.
During the week Chen banged out a .440 batting average (11-25), 3 home runs, 12 runs batted in and scored 5 runs.
To date Chen has chalked up a .333 average with 3 home runs, driven in 29 runs and scored 26 times. |
| Monday, July 2nd, 2007: Sub League 2 Awards Best Batter Prize
His teammates, fans, peers and even the SION sportswriters all agreed that Chin-Lung Hu was worthy of the Sub League 2 Player of the Week Award.
During the week the Fort Polk North second baseman compiled a .483 batting average (14-29) with 1 home run, 8 RBI and scored 4 runs.
