Saturday, December 15th, 2007: Athletics-Twins Swap: Bynum for Bonser
The Oakland Athletics have finalized a deal with the Minnesota Twins for the services of 26-year old starting pitcher Boof Bonser. In exchange, the Twins will receive 27-year old second baseman Freddie Bynum.

As far as career numbers Bynum has compiled a .253 batting average and collected 257 hits, 19 home runs and 111 RBIs.

In all, Bonser has compiled a 5-3 mark during his career and a 4.82 ERA.
Friday, November 9th, 2007: American League Picks Best Rookie
The American League announced today the winner of the 2007 Newcomer of the Year Award. The lucky recipient was the standout Oakland left fielder Travis Buck, who tagged AL pitching for a .284 average with 160 hits in 564 at-bats, banged out 16 home runs, drove in 73 runs, scored 101 times, and put up a .382 on-base percentage.

All of the league award winners will be acknowledged this weekend at the SION Baseball Writers Association annual dinner.
Wednesday, October 3rd, 2007: Eric Gagne Not Happy in Oakland?
It appears to be only a rumor, but earlier today, fans around Oakland were buzzing with the news that their 31-year old reliever Eric Gagne had been asking for a trade. "I couldn't imagine him saying bad things about Oakland or wanting to leave." said one person.
