 | Saturday, June 23rd, 2007: 5-Hit Game for Durrington!
5 hits in 7 at-bats. It doesn't happen every day, and when it does, it's exciting. Today Trent Durrington of the Jaffrey Squadron had a sensational 5-7 game against Wichita at Squadron Ballpark. He rifled base hits all over the ballpark in his team's 7-6 shellacking of the Prowlers.
In the postgame press conference he joked, "Heck, that's a week's worth of hitting for me and I did it all in one day. I guess I can take the rest of the week off...Right, skipper?"
T. Durrington singled in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th, doubled in the 10th, singled in the 12th and grounded out in the 13th.
