Jason Dubois really sizzled at the plate today. In a game played at Ballpark of Clarendon Hills, the Clarendon Hills left fielder blistered the Durham Elite for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace his club to a 15-8 victory.
"Dubois was too tough to get out today," the Elite skipper said in his postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too."
J. Dubois hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
Thus far this season Dubois has hit .233 with 10 home runs, 40 RBIs and scored 54 times. |

Indeed they are -- good enough to win the 2007 MLB Single A Championship Series.
Today at Ballpark of Clarendon Hills the new champions capped off a great season with a 15-8 victory over the Durham Elite to win the series 3-2. It was their 1st title. |

Andres Torres, the Durham right fielder, had a productive month in July.
He notched some solid numbers with a .315 batting average (39 hits-124), 3 home runs, 19 RBIs and scored 22 times.
That standout hitting earned him the Sub League 2 Batter of the Month Trophy.
This season Torres is batting .271 with 40 RBIs, 77 runs scored and 3 home runs. |
