Alvin Colina had an answer for everything the Carol Stream Rogues threw him today in the Charleston 11-2 triumph at Slammers Ballpark. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit.
The Charleston catcher went 5 for 5 in the game to put his name in the record book.
Summing up his batting philosophy to SION writers after the game, Colina said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
A. Colina hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th.

 | Thursday, June 21st, 2007: Career-Ending Injury for Joe Unknown
The expression on his face said it all when starting pitcher Joe Unknown was injured in a game against Charleston. You could tell that this was no minor injury. Unknown was examined quickly by the team doctor and immediately rushed to the local hospital. After several tests, the diagnosis was a torn rotator cuff muscle, and in this case, it means his career is over.
The Carol Stream Rogues issued the following statement:
"It is with great sadness to see Joe leave the game so soon. He was a great competitor and teammate and we are sure he will stick around in some capacity with our team."
