| Breaking News | | Monday, August 13th, 2007: Week's Best Player Honored by SL1
This week he let his bat do the talking. That's why Justin Baughman of the Jackson Hoodlums was named the Sub League 1 Player of the Week.

22-year-old Emilio Bonifacio dominated the Jackson headlines during this past week as the rookie second baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Sub League 1 officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 11 hits in 20 at-bats to put up a .550 average. Bonifacio collected 1 home run, 12 RBIs and scored 6 runs.
This year Bonifacio has collected a .316 batting average to date with 99 hits in 313 at-bats, 49 RBIs, 7 home runs and scored 46 times. He has played in 78 games. |

Jason Romano of the Jackson Hoodlums put the finishing touch on an exceptional week of play by being named the Sub League 1 Player of the Week.
He rocked the opposition with a .414 batting average, 12 hits in 29 at-bats, 3 home runs and 9 RBIs while scoring 7 times.
