This week's outstanding performer in the Sub League 1 was third baseman David Newhan of the Florence-Graham Missiles.
He racked up a .483 average and was voted the Player of the Week. Over the last week Newhan plastered 14 hits in 29 at-bats and 3 home runs, drove in 9 runs and scored 5 times.
Newhan is presently hitting at a .302 pace with 12 home runs, 59 RBIs and has scored 48 times. |

It appears to be only a rumor, but earlier today, fans around Florence-Graham were buzzing with the news that their 34-year old reliever Travis Miller had been asking for a trade. "I couldn't imagine him saying bad things about Florence-Graham or wanting to leave." said one person. |
