| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, December 11th, 2007: St. Louis and Minnesota Agree to Deal The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The St. Louis Cardinals sent 25-year old shortstop Brendan Ryan to the Minnesota Twins for 26-year old right fielder Matt Murton.
Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal.
In his career Murton is hitting .294 with a total of 45 home runs. |  | Wednesday, December 5th, 2007: Cardinals Retain Drew J.D. Drew and St. Louis have come to an agreement keeping the center fielder in a Cardinals uniform for another 4 years.
The deal is worth $73,152,000 and a formal press conference has been scheduled for tomorrow.
In his 1220-game career Drew is batting .286 with 1298 hits, 254 home runs, 896 runs scored and 805 RBIs. |  | Saturday, November 3rd, 2007: St. Louis Cardinals Duncan to Cleveland for Peralta The rumor has been going on for a while now, but today it was made official. The St. Louis Cardinals sent 26-year old left fielder Chris Duncan to the Cleveland Indians for 25-year old shortstop Jhonny Peralta.
Officials from both teams seem to be pleased with the deal.
During his career Duncan is batting .270 and has totaled 54 home runs.
Peralta has played in 640 games and posted a lifetime .255 average. He has 595 hits, 151 doubles, 9 triples and 48 homers.
