| Breaking News | | Thursday, July 19th, 2007: Balentien Batters Chula Vista for 5 Hits It was a good day for the Heinsohns at Heinsohns Ballpark as they clipped the Chula Vista Bays 13-11. It was tremendous day for Wladimir Balentien, who went on quite a hitting spree with a 5 for 6 barrage.
The East MacKeesport right fielder told reporters after his big 5-hit performance, "I don't have any buzz words. I'm not 'dialed in' or 'in a zone,' as they say. As far as the hitting goes, I try to keep it simple. I try not to look into it too much. Basically the pitcher throws the ball, I try to pick up the spin, then try to hit it. Today I picked up the spin very well."
W. Balentien hit a three-run home run off J. Unknown in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Thus far this year Balentien is hitting .342 with 3 home runs, 23 RBIs and 19 runs scored. | | Monday, July 9th, 2007: SL1 Player of the Week Goes to Bohn of East MacKeesport When it came to hitting the baseball, T.J. Bohn had few peers in the Sub League 1 this past week.

Only a handful of players will do that. Get 5 hits in a game and you get your moment of glory...your 5 minutes of fame...you get your name in the record book.
In the Heinsohns 13-11 win over Catskill, T.J. Bohn was red-hot today, scorching them for hit after hit at Heinsohns Ballpark.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax. I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I must admit, I got too much adrenaline going when I realized that this was a special once-in-a-lifetime chance for the record book. On the last hit, I was ready to swing at anything close, I was that excited. That's why my third base coach called time and told me, 'Calm down and wait for a good pitch.' That got me back on track and I nailed the first one in the strike zone."
On his record-setting day Bohn delivered 5 hits in 6 at-bats, a day he will not soon forget.
T. Bohn hit a two-run single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off J. Unknown in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit a two-run single in the 8th and hit a two-run home run off J. Unknown in the 9th.
Bohn is hitting at a .500 mark this season. His stats show 2 home runs, 19 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has played 13 games for the Heinsohns. | | | Pitching Staff | | Role | Throws | Pitcher | W | L | SV | ERA | | | | Team Information | | Record overall | 33-21, .611 PCT | | Position in Division | 2nd, 2.0 GB | | Record at home | 20-7, .741 PCT | | Record on the road | 13-14, .481 PCT | | Record in X-inning games | 3-1, .750 PCT | | Record in one-run games | 11-6, .647 PCT | | Record versus LHP | 11-8, .579 PCT | | Record versus RHP | 22-13, .629 PCT | | Record last 10 games | 5-5, .500 PCT | | Record in June | 8-4, .667 PCT | | Record in July | 18-11, .621 PCT | | Record in August | 7-6, .538 PCT |
