Saturday, December 15th, 2007: Rangers and Cubs Agree to Swap
Officials for the Texas Rangers confirmed that they have traded 25-year old third baseman Travis Metcalf to the Chicago Cubs. In return, the Rangers will receive 25-year old reliever Kevin Hart.



In his career Hart has appeared in 70 games and captured 3 saves. He has 6 wins and 4 losses and a 4.60 ERA with 100 strikeouts in 90 innings.
Monday, December 10th, 2007: Rangers Sign MR Rafael Soriano
Seen as a robust, fit, and extremely athletic solution, reliever Rafael Soriano took the podium this afternoon to announce that he and the Rangers had reached an agreement totaling $11,983,600 over 2 years.

Fans were elated by the news, seeing the signing as a critical step in the club's long-term outlook.

Soriano has a career record of 24-18 with a 4.32 ERA. In 327 games he has recorded 41 saves and the 27-year-old has 361 strikeouts in 375.1 innings of work.
Monday, October 29th, 2007: Rangers-Padres Swap: Burrell for Davis
A trade between the Texas Rangers and the San Diego Padres was made official this morning. The Texas Rangers have sent 31-year old left fielder Pat Burrell to the San Diego Padres in exchange for 27-year old center fielder Rajai Davis.

In his career Burrell is batting .251 with 801 hits, 155 doubles, 8 triples and 140 home runs.

Davis has a lifetime .284 batting average and .362 on-base percentage in his 152-game career with 163 hits and 10 home runs.
