Tuesday, September 11th, 2007: SL2's Premier Hitter for 2007 Named
2007's Outstanding Hitter Award has been chosen by the Sub League 2. This season's trophy was awarded to Brad Eldred, the gifted Supreme right fielder.

In 58 games he terrorized SL2 hurlers, finishing up the year with a .294 batting average, 67 hits, 7 home runs, 40 RBIs, .372 OBP and 30 runs scored.

This weekend Eldred will be honored by the SION Baseball Writers Association at its annual awards dinner.

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007: SL1's #1 Hitter for 2007 Named
Inverness Highlands North's Dusty Wathan teed off on opposing pitching all season long and rightfully claimed his Sub League 1 Outstanding Hitter Award today.

He belted out 75 hits in 206 at-bats to compile his .364 batting average and .446 on-base percentage in 2007. He also tallied 8 doubles, no triples, 1 home run, 23 RBI and 28 runs scored.

For being named the SL1's top hitter, Wathan will be honored at the SION Baseball Writers awards banquet this weekend.

Sunday, September 9th, 2007: SL2 Glove Wizard Award Winners Announced
Defense wins ballgames--you can't succeed without it. Tonight SION will host the annual awards presentation where the best of the best will be honored -- the players in the Sub League 2 that are not only "good with the glove," they are the "best with the glove." Here are this year's best defenders and Glove Wizard Award honorees:
