Major League Baseball News Article | |  | Tuesday, December 25th, 2007: Chicago-Washington Trade: Escobar for Schroder The Chicago White Sox have parted ways with 29-year old right fielder Alex Escobar, sending him to the Washington Nationals for 29-year old reliever Chris Schroder. The White Sox general manager confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning.
During his career Escobar has compiled a .264 batting average and collected 289 hits, 29 home runs and 121 RBIs.
To date Schroder has posted a career 10-9 record with 7 saves. The 29-year-old has rung up 159 strikeouts, has a 4.47 ERA and has allowed teams to hit .227 against him. | |
