Tuesday, January 1st, 2008: Wilkerson Agrees to 2-Year, $7,124,800 Deal
The Houston Astros have called a press conference later today to announce the signing of left fielder Brad Wilkerson to a 2-year, $7,124,800 contract.

Both Wilkerson and the Astros are said to be very pleased to come to this agreement.

Over his career Wilkerson is batting .269 with 114 home runs and 374 RBIs. In 863 games he has delivered 732 hits, scored 438 runs, stolen 34 bases and gotten on base at a .382 clip.
Tuesday, January 1st, 2008: SP Beckett Selects Florida's $62,579,000 Bid
Josh Beckett finalized an accord with the Marlins this morning, agreeing to $62,579,000 over 5 years.

Though many consider him green, they also see his raw talent and expect a lot out of this young man before his tenure in Florida has run its course.

So far in his career, Beckett has collected 72 wins and 45 losses and has recorded an ERA of 3.72 and struck out 845 batters while pitching 944.2 innings.
Friday, December 28th, 2007: Milwaukee Brewers Hall to Tampa Bay for Qualls
Officials for the Milwaukee Brewers confirmed that they have traded 28-year old center fielder Bill Hall to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. In return, the Brewers will receive 29-year old reliever Chad Qualls.

Lifetime Hall is batting .262 and has hit 92 home runs.

In his career totals Qualls has 12 saves with a 15-8 record and a 4.17 ERA.
